Condemnation of Maoist attack on Rural Municipality meeting
The active organizations of the district have condemned the attack on Thakre village executive meeting on August 21. The organizations have condemned the incident by releasing a press statement.
A group of about 70 Maoist cadres led by Yantra Bahadur Thapa entered into the meeting at Thakre village council-6 and attacked randomly according to vice-chairperson Ambika Rupakheti. Thapa was rural municipality candidate from Maoist centre and Nepali congress.
The attacker was attempting to attack the rural municipal chief and other people stopped him.
The attackers attacked them saying that they came to hand over memorandum. After the incident chairman of the rural municipality,Ram Kumar informed the police however it took one and half hours for the police to reach the incident site.
