Complaint Lodged On charge of Caste Discrimination
Hikmat Darji,40 of Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-4 has lodged a complaint at District police office against temple priest 1008 Swami Dev Raj Acharya for misbehaving him while performing prayers at Laxmi Narayan Temple.
He said that the priest had performed caste discrimination on August 20 while participating in prayers. He further lodged a complaint on August 28 at District Police Office after feeling insecure and dishonored.
On August 30, discussion on same issue was held at District Administration Office between both parties without any conclusion. CDO Govinda Rijal of Kailali said that decision will be made on the incident after another discussion.
Various Dalit Rights organizations have released a press note regarding the incidents on August 29.
