Complaint lodged against witchcraft allegation
A complaint against 24 years old Kiran Dhaulakoti of Besishahar-3 has been lodged at District Police Office on September21 on charge of alleging and misbehaving 65 years old elderly woman Bishnumaya Dulal of being witch. The complaint was lodged in an initiation of INSEC district representative after the incident was reported to him on September 20 by the victim.
The victim was misbehaved and was beaten by the accused in an inebriated state according to victim’s daughter-in-law. She added that the accused even attacked her while she tried to stop the attack.
At present, the victim is undergoing treatment at District Community Hospital. Police said that the accused is at large after the incident.
DSP Yadav Dhakal of DPO said that search for him is undergoing and he will be charged as per the legal provision.
