Complaint Lodged Against the Accused of Alleging Being Witch
A victim’s family of 36-year-old Ram Dulari Yadav of Laxmipur VDC-1 have lodged a complaint against Bechan Mahato,37 of Laxmipur VDC-1, Sulan Mahato,31, Rabindra Mahato,22 and Suraj Mahato,45 at District Police Office on August 21 on charge of beating and misbehaving the victim alleging her of being witch.
According to the victim’s father-in-law, she was severely beaten by the accused on charge of spelling black magic against them. The victim was referred to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar after she could not be treated at local Triguna Poly clinic.
The accused are at large after the incident and their search are going on according to the police.
