Complaint Filed Against the Accused of Rape
Police have arrested Lallan Ahir Yadav, 55, of Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-3 at the Area Police Office, Mainapojhar, on the charge of raping a 30-year-old woman.
DSP Hiktat Bohora of the District Police Office informed that the accused was last raped on August 26 after which she filed a complaint. The accused is the chairperson of Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-3.
The accused has absconded after the complaint was filed and a search is ongoing, stated DSP Bohora. The victim is five months pregnant.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted at Bardiya Hospital on September 2.
