Complaint Filed Against the Accused of Caste Based Discrimination
Narayan Pariyar has filed a complaint against four people including the member of Machhapuchre Rural Municipality-5, Ramji Lamichane.
Pariyar filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Kaski against ward member Lamichane, Sujan Lamichane, Sarita Lamichane and Santosh Pariyar on 21 March alleging that they discriminated him based on his caste at a ceremony for rites of passage ‘bratabanda.’
As per Pariyar, he was threatened for touching the food by the people belonging to so called high caste.
Spokesperson and DSP of the District Police Office, Shrawan Kumar BK. Informed that the case is under investigation based on the complaint filed by Pariyar.
