Complaint filed Against Accused of Violation of Election Code of Conduct
A complaint has been lodged with the Election Commission against Social Development Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Govind Bohara for violating the election code of conduct.
The complaint was filed against Minister Bohara for participating in the election rally organized by the Nepali Congress, Dadeldhura.
In the third paragraph of the Code of Conduct issued for the sponsorship of the local level election 2079, it has been mentioned that officers, employees and agencies have to follow, the government of Nepal, the provincial government, the ministers, the local executive and they must engage in campaigning for or against any political party or candidate. There is a provision that propaganda should not be disseminated.
According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, Dadeldhura, a complaint has been lodged against Minister Bohara on the basis of evidence provided by the public, including photo and video, alleging violation of the code of conduct.
Chief Election Officer Hari Prasad Sharma Pangeni said that necessary information has been sent to the concerned body regarding the registration of the complaint and it is in the process of investigation.
