Complaint Filed Against Accused of Statutory Rape
A complaint was filed at the District Police Office, Mahottari against 22-year-old Indrajit Yadav of Sonama Rural Municipality-7, on August 9 alleging that he raped a 16-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party alleged that the accused deceived the victim with promises of marriage, lured her into a relationship, and subsequently raped her on August 6 at the riverbank near her home. SP Nakul Pokharel of the District Police Office informed that the search for the absconding accused is ongoing.
The victim’s health examination was conducted on August 9 at the Provincial Hospital in Jaleshwar.
