Complaint Filed Against Accused of Rape
A complaint was filed against Anurudh Mahato, 25, of Thapagaun, Gaushala Municipality-10 at Area Police Office, Gaushala on June 3, 2024, charging him of raping a 20-year-old woman.
The victim’s husband alleged that the accused called the victim on pretext of having work and took her to a crusher mill near her house on May 21 and raped her by threatening her.
Inspector Surya Bahadur Rana Magar of the Area Police Office Gaushala informed that incident was tried to be settled with in the Rural Municipality. However, the victim filed formal a complaint on June 3 after the incident was failed to be reconciled. In addition, they have been searching for the accused and further investigation regarding the incident is going on.
The health examination of the victim was done on 4 June at Provincial Hospital.
