Complaint Filed Against Accused of Misbehaviour
District Correspondent of Naya Patrika Daily, Surendra Kamati, 37, of Siraha Municipality-7, and Correspondent of Avenues Television Shubh Narayan Kamati, 39, of Siraha Municipality-11 have been mistreated while they were reporting a case on the allegation of witchcraft.
A complaint has been lodged against Ram Chandra Sah, 28, of Aurahi Rural Municipality-5 at the District Police Office, Siraha on April 19.
According to the victim journalist Shubh Narayan, the accused Sah threatened to kill him while he was going to the spot to collect news after receiving information about the incident.
According to Inspector Dipendra Shrestha of the District Police Office, Siraha, the accused is absconding.
Hiradevi Sah, 50, of Aurahi Rural Municipality-5 has been accused of witchcraft by her nephew Ghuran Sah, 28, and her daughters-in-law Surji Sah, 48, Koshila Sah, 40, and Sarita Sah, 27.
Police have arrested the accused Ghuran Sah on April 18 on the charge of misbehavior while the other accused is absconding.
