Complaint Filed Against Accused of Killing After Rape
The family of Niru BK, 16, of Khadachakra Municipality-6 have filed a complaint at the District Police Office on August 25, 2021, claiming that she was killed after rape.
DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah of the District Police informed that the victim was missing since August 20 and her semi-eaten corpse was found in a cornfield on August 23 after which the victim’s family filed a complaint of killing after rape.
“We have claimed that our daughter was killed after being raped as her lower body was cut off and thrown away,” said Niru’s Father Ratna Kami. However, the complaint has not mentioned the name of the accused and the cause behind the incident.
The post-mortem of the body was done at the district hospital on August 25 and the report is yet to arrive, said Dr. Ratnabir Sunar, Acting Chief of the District Health Office.
According to DSP Shah, a team from the Karnali Province Police Office has reached the incident spot to investigate the incident.
