Complaint Filed Against Accused for Alleging WitchCraft
Seventy-year-old Nirmala Devi Mishra of Ekdara Rural Municipality-4 filed a complaint against 35-year-old Pappu Mishra of the same place on 29 April at the District Police Office, Mahottari for mistreating her by accusing her of practicing witchcraft.
Victim’s son Bikash Mishra reported that Pappu, his 25-year-old brother Ravi Mishra, Sister Nirasha Mishra, 20, Mother Bhagwati Devi Mishra were sick for the last ten days. Subsequently, the accused on 28 April verbally abused and insulted the victim citing that she practiced witchcraft on them.
Inspector Dharmaraj Mudwari of the District Police Office informed that the accused was arrested on 29 April and the case was reconciled after having discussion with both parties.
