Complaint Against Alleged Accused Of Trafficking
A complaint against 42-year-old Chanchala Mahat of Banepa Municipality-7 was filed in the Area Police Office, Banepa on January 2, 2024, for allegedly trafficking two women of 21 and 23 age. The victims filed a complaint alleging that the accused invited them to a hotel of Banepa Municipality-7, induced them financially and forced them to engage in Sexual activities.
DSP Raj Kumar Shrestha informed INSEC that the police arrested the accused on the basis of a verbal complaint on December 31, 2023. He added that the victims are rescued and kept in a safe home.
DSP Shrestha informed that the District Court detained the accused for seven days on January 2 and further investigation is going on. The health examination of the victims was done on December 31 at Dhulikhel Hospital.
