Complaint Against Accused of Threatening Safety Of Chief Administrative Officer
On June 28, a complaint was filed by the victim against Krishna Bahadur Khadka, the Ward Chairperson of Badimalika-6, at the District Administration Office in Bajura. The complaint alleges that Khadka threatened to kill Rangmal B.K., the Chief Administrative Officer of Badimalika Municipality, on the same day. The threat was made due to a disagreement over financial matters.
According to B.K., the Chief Administrative Officer of Badimalika Municipality-6, Khadka threatened him after he refused to process a certain amount following a dispute. It is further claimed that Khadka attempted to physically attack B.K. on multiple occasions on June 28.
In response to the threats and attacks, B.K. sought security by requesting assistance from the district administration office. He stated that he had been attacked twice and received threats to his life.
B.K., the Chief Administrative Officer, revealed that Khadka had demanded the processing of payment for various construction projects, including the repair of Mana Road, Virekhola Waterfall, Kathe Bridge Construction, Kardha Kailashmadau Temple Construction in Badimalika Municipality-6, and activities related to Malika Tourism Year.
Krishna Bahadur Khadka, the Ward Chairperson, explained that he had discussions with the Chief Administrative Officer about the halted construction projects from the previous year due to lack of payment. He expressed his desire to avoid a repeat of the same situation in the current year.
Chief District Officer Pushkar Khadka confirmed that Chief Administrative Officer B.K. had submitted a petition to the District Administration Office, requesting security measures and legal prosecution of the accused. Following the victim’s statement, the Chief District Officer contacted the Ward Chairperson, only to learn that he was on an official visit to Kathmandu at that time.
