Complaint Against Accused of Domestic Violence
Jira BK,29, of Purasundari Municipality-2, filed a complaint at Tripurakot Wagar police station on June 11, 2023, against her husband, Lal Bahadur BK, 36, alleging that he abuses her daily.
The victim told the INSEC District Representative that she was compelled to file a complaint as her husband Lal Bahadur has been drinking and abusing her every day. She further complains that she was assaulted by a log o firewood on June 9 and 10, 2023. The victim has bruises on the back of her neck due to the beating.
Ruddha Bahadur Shahi, Sub Inspector Of Police, in charge of the police station, informed that a police constable was sent to arrest the accused in Rum village, which is a two-hour walk distance from the Tripurakot police station.
Junkumari Rokaya, City Health Post Coordinator said that the victim returned home after general treatment at Tripurasundari municipality health post.
