Commitment needed to make fair election – Chief Election Commissioner Yadav
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav said that there would be support and commitment from all sides to conduct the upcoming local level election in a free and fair atmosphere according to RSS.
Addressing the 19th anniversary of Reporters Club Nepal in the capital on Saturday, he shared that the Election Commission has expedited its preparation on war footing with the local election coming near.
Total 14,054,482 people are eligible for casting votes in the civic polls scheduled for 14 May 2017.
CEC Dr Yadav called for support from the general public, political parties and all other sides to complete the responsibility of the historic event.
The EC is mobilizing female volunteers, maternal child care givers and teachers for voter education in view of the civic polls.
