Commission Decides Re-polling at 10 Polling Stations on December 1

The Election Commission is going to conduct re-polling on December 1, 2022, in 10 polling stations of four polling centres in Dolakha. Assistant Election Officer Shiva Kumar Pokharel informed that the meeting of the District Election Management Committee held on November 28 decided to conduct re-polling on December 1. He also said that preparations for voting have started.

After the Election Commission instructed the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer Dolakha to conduct the election by December 1, the meeting of the District Election Management Committee fixed the date of the election.

After Balkrishna Sivakoti, a candidate of CPN-UML, complained to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer that the booth had been captured, the inquiry commission from the Election Commission confirmed that the voting process completed on November 20 was disrupted and recommended re-election. Based on the same recommendation, the commission decided to hold re-election.

According to the decision of the Commission, ward no. 6 (A, B, C), ward no. 3 Kalidhunga (A, B, C), ward no. 2 at Janajyoti (A, B) and Tamakosi Jaamune Health Post (A, B) centers.
