Clashes and Vandalism in Free Student’s Union (FSU) election
There has been incidents in various places regarding the issue of free student’s union election on March 1. INSEC district representatives have informed that there were incidents of vandalism and arson attack among various students unions.
According to Dhading distrcit representative Sita Ram Adhikari, there has been clash between Akhil revolutionary, Nepal Student’s Association and ANNFSU in Benighat VDC-1 of Dhading. In a clash, Sujata Bhatt of Akhil revolutionary and Susmita Rupakheti of NSU was injured.
They are undergoing treatment at Neuro hospital according to the police. The election has been postponed for indefinite period after the clash.
According to INSEC representative Deependra Adhikari of Chitwan, students of Akhil united have set fire on a room of campus chief of Birendra Multiple Campus at Bharatpur on charge of not conducting election.
The students have vandelized the physical property of the campus. Election candidate Lila Paudel of Akhil united said that the destruction was as a result of showing apathy on conducting election by campus chief.
The campus building has been damaged by the attack according to DSP Deepak Pathak of DPO. There has been no election in the district yet.
