Clash Between the Cadres of CPN UML and Maoist Centre: Nine Injured
Nine cadres were injured in a clash between CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist in Thapa village located in Jagdulla Rural Municipality-3.
According to DSP Niranjan Thapa of the District Police Office, Dolpa, Jalapa Bohora, 33, Bhadra Bohra, 23, Krishna Jung Bohora, 33, Shanta Bohora, 24, of Jagdulla Rural Municipality 3, UML cadres of Jagdulla Rural Municipality 3 were injured in the clash that took place on December 11. Birkh Bohora, 35, Laxman Bohora, 33, Gorsing Bohora, 25, Pavindra Bohora, 23, and Jagat Bohora, 38, were injured in the clash.
According to the information given by DSP Thapa of the District Police Office, Dolpa, the clash broke out when the Maoist activists pelted stones at each other when both parties were drinking alcohol.
Four UML activists who were injured in the clash have been taken to Kathmandu by chartering a helicopter. Similarly, the CPN-Maoist worker who was slightly injured was treated at a hospital in Kaigaon and returned home, according to the police. Four people who were injured and taken to Kathmandu for treatment have suffered serious injuries.
