Civil Network Session for Peace Held

The session of civilian Network for peace has been held in Kaski demanding immediate local level election by protecting the civilian rights as per the norms of people’s movement of 2005/06.

While inaugurating the general assembly of Civilian Network and its 13th session, CA member and chairperson of Parliamentary Development Committee Rabindra Adhikari, said that all infrastructures achieved from democracy will be finished if the democratic norms and values are not established in the society. He further showed his concern in apathy shown in implementation of constitution if practice. He added that people’s rights must be established by conducting immediate election of local levels.

The session has also formed 15 members committee for another one years in a coordination of Dhaka Ram Paudel chairperson of Victims of People’s Movement and Martyr family Committee. The committee consists of general secretary Shiva Khakurel, INSEC Western regional office, advocacy forum, District Children Home Network, COCAP, HURJA, Single Women for Human Rights, Civil Society for good governance including other organizations. The secretariat of the network is in INSEC.
