Children Compelled To Study in Bank of River

The students at Janata Primary School are compelled to study in open space under the sky after their school building at Pipalchaur, Lahn VDC-4 was swept away by flood.

A fold due to the incessant rain on June 30 had swept away the building and they are having problem of class room. The flood has swept away two buildings, toilet and water tank according to the principal Bal Bahadur Rawal.

After the flood, the area has become like a river bank. Students are compelled to study in the bank of river.

The principal Rawal said that students are facing various difficulties in their studies due to the open space. They are equally afraid that they might also get swept away by the river. He said that there are no other safer places for students. There are total of 74 students studying.

Naresh Rawal, parent of student said that he has stopped sending his children to study due to the risk. Students are in dilemma about their studies.

District Education Officer Lalit Bikram Singh said that concerned ministry has been informed about the situation. He further said that it is not possible to built a building immediately however alternatives should be find.
