Child Rights Monitoring District Committee Formed
The child rights monitoring district committee has been formed in Kathmandu district for the upcoming local level election. The committee was formed in chairmanship of Chief District Officer (CDO) and District child welfare chairman Him Nath Dawadi on April 19.
The committee consists of five members from District Child Welfare Committee, District Coordination Committee, Kathmandu metropolitan, INSEC and CWIN. The committee has also decided to appoint Debaki Acharya of District Child welfare committee as a focal person.
In a meeting, chairperson and CDO Dawadi said that it is necessary to monitor during election as children might be at risk.
The committee will monitor the election activities and especially the child rights during election.
Meanwhile, Dawadi unveiled the situational report 2016 of children from Kathmandu.
