Chief justice and Chief Election Commissioner Assumes Office
Chief justice Sushila Karki and Election Commissioner DrAyodhi Prasad Yadav have assumed their offices after President Bidhya Devi Bhandari administered oath to CJ Karki and Karki administered oath to election commissioner Yadav in one program organised in presidential building on July 11.
Chief justice Karki was appointed by the President as per sub-clause(2) of clause 129 of Nepal’s constitution after the recommendation from constitutional council. Similarly Dr Yadav was appointed ac chief election commissioner as per sub-clause (2) of clause 245 of Nepal’s constitution.
High level dignitaries, political leaders and SC judges were present at the program of oath taking according to assistant spokes person Dhruba Raj Acharya of Presidential office.
