Case registered on charge of alleging of being witchcraft
The case has been filed at district court by police against Shiva Kumar Manda-37, his brother Chandra Sekhar Mandal-32 and Dharma Dev Mandal-35 of Rupani village council-2 for abusing and beating Binadevi Shah, 40 of the same place on charge of being witch.
The victim lodged a complaint at District Police Office on June 23 complaining that the accused dragged her and attempted to burn her alive alleging her of being witch.
According to the victim, her 18 year old daughter was also beaten and abused by the accused while she was taking video of the incident.
The victims underwent treatment at Rupani village council based Unique hospital and Rajbiraj Municiaplity-4 based Ganasi Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital. The accused are at large after the incident.
