Case Against Rape Accused Adjourned
According to the information provided, the Sarlahi District Court has decided to adjourn the case against Rahmat Dhunia, a 39-year-old resident of Malangwa Municipality-3, on June 28. Dhunia is charged with raping a 34-year-old woman. The case was filed in the District Court on February 8, 2022, and the decision to adjourn was made by District Judge Kamal Prasad Pokharel.
The victim filed a complaint at the Malangwa District Police Office on January 17, 2022, stating that she was raped by the accused on December 21, 2021. The district police office registered the complaint on January 13. The victim underwent a health examination on January 28, 2022, at the District Hospital in Malangwa.
It is mentioned that Rahmat Dhunia has not been arrested yet, as confirmed by Registrar Vishwanath Aryal of the District Court.
