Sign Board of Village Council set on fire by Communist Party
The cadres of Netra Bikram Chand led Maoist party have burnt the village council sign board on April 24.
A group of 7/8 cadres burnt the sign board of the council while staffs were doing their daily work according to ward secretary Adhikar Buda.
He accused that the cadres attempted to physically assault staffs when they requested not to burn the sign board. Similarly, the cadres have burnt the sign board at Runtighanti village council as well.
The party has operated various anti-election activities in the district according to District Committee member Dhan Bahadur Khatri of the party. The party has also operated campaign for not to support the election.
CDO Dr Digen Bhattrai said that he knew about the incident from the media. However, CDO said that there is no immediate security threat for the upcoming local level election.
