Budget of Province 2: Prioritized Health, Agriculture, Education, Employment, and Tourism Sector
In the budget brought by the province government for the coming fiscal year, health, agriculture, education, employment opportunities and tourism sector have been given high priority.
Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Bijay Kumar Yadav has given special priority to health, agriculture, education, employment opportunities, and tourism in the budget presented by the provincial assembly in the budget on June 15.
In the budget of the coming fiscal year, a budget of NRs. 200 million has been allocated for the purchase of oxygen cylinders, Remdesivir (Medicine used in COVID treatment), other medicines, and necessary health equipment for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of Covid-19.
Considering the increase of kidney patients in the province, NRs. 120 million has been allocated to purchase 35 dialysis machines in each district.
The provincial government has allocated NRs. 100 million for the construction of physical infrastructure at Manipal Covid Hospital and Madhes Health Science Academy.
The budget states that NRs. 240 million has been allocated for the development of at least one model community school in each district and improvement of the physical infrastructure of the school to raise the educational level of the province.
The province government has allocated NRs. 200 million to continue the ‘Chief Minister’s Educate Daughter, Save Daughter’ campaign.
Minister Yadav has informed that NRs. 285 million has been allocated to create employment opportunities through industrialization.
Likewise, NRs. 40 million has been allocated for feasibility study of establishment of dairy industry for increasing production and productivity of agriculture sector, NRs. 130 million has been allocated for milk and meat mission program, livestock and fisheries development.
Similarly, NRs. 183.6 million has been allocated for the conservation of Chure, NRs. 73.8 million has been separated for planting trees and other plants including fruits along roadsides, NRs. 180 million has been allocated for protection of temples, monasteries, religious sites, NRs. 150 million has been allocated for construction of tourist infrastructure and NRs. 160 million has been allocated for the conservation of heritages and green park in every constituency.
Along with this, NRs. 160 million is allocated for Snow City Fun Park and NRs. 672 million is allocated for the continuation of 5 km road in each constituency of the province.
For the control of flood NRs. 300 million has been allocated, NRs. 680 million has been separated for construction and maintenance of road connecting ward to district headquarters and NRs. 200 million has been allocated for public construction works.
