Bomb Explosion In Two Schools In Kathmandu

Metropolitan Police Circle of Teku has confirmed that there was a bomb explosion in two schools in Kathmandu in the morning of September 20.

SP Pradumna Karki of Metropolitan Police Circle of Teku said that cylinder bomb was exploded in Akashdeep Boarding School and Manakamana High Schools of Boudha. He confirmed that there were no human loss in an explosion however the gate of one school was damaged in an explosion..

SP Karki said that pamphlets of Nepal National Democratic Student Center were recovered from the incident site. At least two persons were arrested according to him.

Similarly, suspicious materials were found in Rai School, Boudha, Eastpole School and Kanchanjangha School in Dallu. The bomb disposal team has already reached the incident site according to the police.

According to INSEC District Representative of Lalitupr Ram Kumari Shrestha, in Radient Readers Academy, a bomb was found early in the morning of September 20 according to the police. The bomb was disposed by the bomb disposal unit. A pamphlets of National Demoracatic Student Center and Young Communist Force were recovered from the incident site according to the SSP Pitamber Adhikari of Metropolitan Police Circle of Lalitpur.

The pamphlets found in the incident site stated that private schools have failed to address their demands. The demand included a free education to the children of  civilians having income less than Rs 240,000 yearly, teaching as per government curriculum etc.
