Bill on Rights of People with Disability presented in Parliament

A bill on rights of people with disability made for the rights protection and promotion of disabled people has been presented in parliament on July 4.

 

The bill was presented by deputy prime minister and women, children and social welfare minister C.P Mainali at the meeting of legislature parliament on July 4 according to the press released by Sudarshan Subedi, chairperson of National Disability Federation Nepal.

The bill was prepared by Social wale fare ministry in a detailed consultation with concerned bodies and was registered at legislature parliament on November last year.

Chairperson Subedi of the federation, through a press note demanded the quick passing of the bill as it is concern of all people with disability and rights activists working in this field.

He further requested to bring this Act under discussion in parliament as a priority.
