Bigamous and convict of child marriage disqualified in consumers committee
Maringden Rural Municipality has prepared a criterion for forming consumers committee. The criterion has restricted or disqualified a person that was convict of polygamy and child marriage.
Chief Administrative officer Bhim Kumar Basnet of Meringden Municipality said that any of the officers holding post in a ward office or political representative, or governmental officers, if convicted of polygamy of child marriage, will be disqualified from the post.
This criterion has been circulated through various media and local tabloids according to the Rural Municipality.
The chief administrative officer said that the rural municipality is committed for the implementation of this provision. He added that the rural municipality will immediately take action if some one is found to be violating this provision.
