Attention Drawn on Dowry Incident
Human Rights Activists of Nepagunj have drawn their attention on the incident of beating of a woman on charge of not bringing dowry.
Releasing a press statement of August 10, the activists said that due to the beatings by family members, the victim Asrun Ansari,18 of Nepalgunj submetropolis-19 sustained a deep injuries on her eyes. The victim is undergoing a medical treatment at Bheri Zonal Hospital.
The incident was jointly condemned through a press statement by INSEC regional office of Nepalgunj and various other rights active organisation. The statement also demanded for immediate investigation on incident with legal action against those involved in an incident.
