Attempted Rape Accused Arrested
Police have arrested Abdullah Ansari, known as Surendra of Paterwa Sugauli Rural Municipality-1, Kanchanpur on June 23, 2021, on the charge of attempting to rape an 18-year-old girl.
The victim has alleged that the accused tried to rape the victim on June 21.
An attempt was made to reconcile the incident with NRs 150,000 but the victim family denied it and reached the police office.
Though the accused side tried to reconcile the incident through discussions at the Area Police Office Paterwa on June 22, the police denied dropping the process of investigation.
The victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on June 24, said DSP Om Prakash Khanal.
The victim has been examined at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj on June 24.
