Assistant Professor Allegedly Assaulted by Students
On June 27, Arjun Tamang, a 44-year-old assistant professor at Mahendra Morang Campus, Biratnagar Metropolitan City-12, was allegedly assaulted for expelling a student from the examination hall for cheating.
The victim claims that Rinku Paswan (22) and Madhav Paswan (23), both undergraduate students at Mahendra Morang Campus, assaulted him on July 11.
The 44-year-old assistant professor, originally from Arun Gaunpalika-4, Bhojpur, currently residing in Biratnagar, confirmed the assault by students during a phone conversation with an INSEC representative.
Following the assault, the victim filed a complaint against the involved students with the Mahendra Morang Campus administration and the Examination Control Office of Tribhuvan University on July 11.
