Arrested On Charge of Child marriage
Police have arrested 21-year-old Mandire Sarki of Raku VDC-2 on August 22 on charge of marrying 13-year-old girl.
The victim’s family had lodged a complaint at District Police Office on August 21 accusing Sarki of marring a girl on May 8.
The victim said that she was able to flee and come to district headquarter and lodged complaint for child marriage, polygamy and rape.
DSP Kisan Singh Badal said that the accused was arrested by the police for further investigation based on a complaint lodged by the victim.
DSP Badal said that the victim is undergoing health check up as complaint states that she has been raped.
