Arrested on charge of child marriage
Police have arrested 19 years old bridegroom Sagar Rokka of Nilkantha Municipality-5 along with his father Gopi Rokka on charge of child marriage. Police have also arrested 45 years old father of the bride on his involvement in getting them married. SP Raj Kumar Baidawar of DPO said that they were charged of marrying 17 years old girl.
The victim’s mother had lodged complaint at District Police Office of Dhading against the marriage.
Police said that they will be charged under the child marriage act if found guilty after the investigation.
