Arrested on charge of cast-based discrimination
The District Police Office of Kalikot has arrested 28 years old Rabindra Shahi and 27 years old Rakesh Shahi on November 17 on charge of conducting cast-based discrimination on 25-year-old Man Bahadur Sarki of Tilagufa Municipality-7.
The victim was beaten on October 15 by an accused on charge of talking with his sister according to the victim’s family. Both accused were arrested by the police after complaint against them was lodged at DPO of Kalikot on October 16 according to DSP Binod Sharma of DPO.
The victim sustained several bruises over his body due to beatings and undergoing treatment at District hospital.
DSP Sharma said that the accused will be charged under cast-based discrimination act.
