Arrested on charge of alleging of being witch
Police have arrested 38 years old Shiva Kumar Yadav on April 17 on charge of beating 55 years old Kushma Devi Yadav of Dhangadhimai municipality-6 alleging her of being witch.
The victim was beaten by using a Sharpe weapon by the accused on April 13 alleging her of being witch. The victim’s family had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office on April 17. After the incident, Kushma Devi is undergoing treatment at Lila Madan Polyclinic and maternity ward.
The victim complained that she was misbehaved and beaten by Shiva Kumar including Bijaya Kumar Yadav, 34, Asha Ram Das,36, Jevachhi Devi, 32 Lila Devi Das,30 and 40 years old Jaya Lal Das.
According to the DSP Hira Bahadur Pandey of DPO, the accused Shiva Kumar was arrested for the investigation where as other are absconding.
