Alleged Accused of Attempted Rape Arrested
The Area Police Office Barahathawa arrested 36-year-old Ram Kisun Chaudhary on 16 April , 2024 for the charge of attempting to rape a 33-year-old woman.
It is reported that the accused attempted to rape the victim while she was alone at home on March 24, 2024. The victim’s husband had gone to Malaysia for 15 months due to foreign employment.
The health examination of the victim was done on 28 March at Sarlahi Hospital, Malangwa.
Inspector Suman Baniya of the Area Police Office, Barahathawa informed that the accused was arrested on April 16 and the district court extended the date by three days for further investigation.
