Allegations Against Ward Chairperson for Mistreatment of Engineers Shrestha and Darji
Ishak Jolaha, the Ward Chairperson of Narainapur Rural Municipality-1, allegedly mistreated Er. Prabin Shrestha and Er. Sagir Ahamad Darji of Narainapur Rural Municipality on May 19. Chairperson Jolaha showed inhumane and illegal behavior towards both the engineers in the department of planning in Narainapur Rural Municipality.
The employees cited that this act of the chairperson not only diminished their morale but also damaged their reputation. Subsequently, they issued a press release on 19 May urging legal action against the Chairperson according to prevailing laws for the inhuman treatment inflicted upon the engineers. Additionally, they have informed that services, except for emergency ones, will be paused in all the ward offices of Narainapur Municipality until legal action is initiated.
The press release said, “Engineers Prabin Shrestha and Sagir Ahmad Darji of the Planning Department inside the office of Narainapur Rural Municipality were subjected to verbal abuse, attempted beatings, and were threatened to be killed by the Ward Chairperson.”
