Protest erupts over provincial centers,government office vandalized
The agitators have set fire in two government offices and vandalized three offices in protest of determining the capital as Biratnagar for the province number 1.
The agitators are in demonstration for the last 34 days demanding to make Dhankuta as a capital of province number 1. The agitation turned into violence after the Deuba government determined Biratnagar as a temporary capital of province number 1.
The agitators set fire on regional administrative office and rural development building in Dhankuta.
The fire has destroyed two computers and printers of the office according to CDO Prem Prakash Upreti.
They have also set fire on one motorbike belonging to Division office of Dhankuta.
Agitators in a number more than hundred have vandalized Motorbike with registration number Ko29Pa3754, Ko32Pa4400 and Ko18Pa7393. The agitators obstructed the road by putting stones in the street at Zeropoint.
The local administration had to issue prohibitory order from 11:45 after the situation became tensed according to CDO Prem Prakash Uprety.
