Acute Crisis of Medicine in District Health Office

There is an acute crisis of medicine in the District Health office of Bajura. Local Hoijali B.K of Badimalika Municipality-12 had reached district hospital for the treatment of her son but she could not get medicine which she was supposed to get for free. She complained that she was compelled to pay for the medicine. She is just one example.

Store keeper Tej Singh Saud of District Health Office said that there are not even Citamol in the hospital. The government had announced to provide 72 types of medicine for free however there are only 10-12 types of medicine in the hospital.

Nepal Government has a policy to provide 72 types of free medicine in district hospital, 55 from the primary health center and 45 from the health posts.

There is not even one stretcher in the health office of Bajura to carry patient. Local, Surya Bahadur Baduwal said that he could not take his pregnant wife to hospital due to the lack of stretcher.

Acting chief Ashok Singh of District Hospital Office denied the information saying that he is just a chief for one day. The patients are facing difficulties due to the lack of services in district hospital.
