Acid Attacker Arrested
The Area Police Office have arrested Kamal Ram, 45 and registered a complaint of attempted murder against him on July 4 on charge of attempting to murder his wife Bechani Devi Ram, 19 of Belchi Chapena VDC-7 with acid.
The accused had married her a year ago after his first wife passed away. The victim was displaced at her paternal house after she was severely tortured by her husband in regular basis in an inebriated state.
The accused attacked her with an acid while she was living in her paternal house on July 4. She sustained acid burn over her body according to DSP Dan Bahadur Karki.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment by the police.
