Accused Sentence to Life Imprisonment for Incest Rape
The District Court sentenced a 53-year-old man to life imprisonment for the crime of raping his five-year-old daughter. The bench of District Court Judge Dalluram Chaudhary on November 12, 2024, sentenced the father to life imprisonment along with an additional four-year sentence for incest rape. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 740,000 and ordered him to pay Rs 50,000 as compensation, according to Court Section Officer and Information Officer Amrita KC.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Baniyanbhar on 11 July 2023 alleging that the accused raped the girl on the same day. Police arrested the accused on July 11, and the medical examination of the victim was done on July 11 at the Bardiya Hospital, Gulariya.
