Accused Rapist Arrested After Two Years
Police have arrested Durga Chaudhary,20 of Ghorahi Municipality-1 on July 22 on charge of raping a 30-year-old woman in 2014, August 31. He was arrested almost after two years on charge of his involvement in a gang rape on woman.
The District Court had acquitted Durga Chaudhary including other four accused however the victim lodged a complaint at appellate court in 2015, June 22.
Duo bench of appellate court judges Kumar Chudal and Sheman Kumar Gautam had ordered to sentence the accused for 10 years on May 25 after finding him guilty. The absconding accused was arrested and presented to the court according to DSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh of DPO Dang.
One of the accused among five was sentenced for five years by the court and other three are still at large according to the police.
