Accused of Sexual Abuse of Minor Sentenced to One year Four months Imprisonment
Dhirendra Sada, 23, of Rajviraj Municipality-9 Gadhia was imprisoned for one year and four months on 22 March 2023, for the crime of sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl.
District Judge Hemant Rawal’s bench found Sada guilty and sentenced him to pay a fine of 15,000 rupees, compensation of 15,000 rupees, and deposit 400 rupees in the Victims Relief Fund.
The 55-year-old grandmother of the victim filed a complaint at the district police office on 17 June 2021, saying that the accused tried to rape the victim at Ramjan’s pond in Gadhia, Rajviraj Municipality-9 on the night of 16 June 2021. The victim testified that while her mother had gone to the market to buy medicine, the accused tried to rape her by taking her from her kitchen to the pond.
The police arrested the accused on 17 June 2021. The district police office registered a complaint on 19 June 2021. The victim’s medical examination was conducted at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajviraj on 18 September 2021. The complaint was filed in the District Court on 21 October 2021, the accused was detained in Rajviraj Jail on 22 October 2021.
