Accused of Sexual Abuse Arrested
Kaushal Paudel,24, resident of Birendranagar Napa-5, Surkhet District, was arrested by the District Police Office, Salyan on October 31, on the charge of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.
Inspector Santosh Khanal informed that the victim had filed a complaint in the district police office, Salyan of coercion under offenses related to rape, on November 1. The victim alleged that she was forcibly dragged from her home on the morning of October 21 and sexually assaulted in the forest near the house.
The victim girl’s father informed the INSEC representative that the incident happened when the accused had visited Salyan to drop off his wife at his in-laws’ house.
The police said that the health examination of the girl was done on October 31 at District Hospital Salyan.
The accused has been detained and the investigation is ongoing.
