Accused of Sexual Abuse Arrested
Police have arrested Bhuwan Singh Ghalan, chairperson of Kailash Rural Municipality Ward No. 9 on July 12, 2022, on the charge of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the ward chairperson Ghalan at the District Police Office on July 7 alleging that she was sexually abused by the accused.
According to SP Surendra Bahadur Gurung, Chief of the District Police Office, Ghalan was arrested from Hetauda Bazaar on July 12.
According to the victim’s side, the ward chairperson Ghalan sexually abused the girl who had come to Hetauda to participate in the district-level competition under the Presidential Running Shield School Sports.
According to SP Gurung, the accused ward chairperson Ghalan has been remanded in custody for five days by the court on July 12.
