Accused of Sexual Abuse Arrested
Police have arrested Amit Subba, 39, originally from Darjeeling, India and a teacher at Salyan Star Boarding School in Nechasalyan Rural Municipality-2 on March 21, 2022, on the charge of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on March 21 accusing him of sexually abusing her on March 20.
According to DSP Kabit Katawal of the District Police Office, the accused was arrested from his residence at Salyan-2 on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim.
The girl has been examined at the District Hospital, Phaplu on March 21.
