Accused of Rape Sentenced to 19 Years Imprisonment
The district court sentenced Jitendra B.K, 19, Municipality-1 of Musikot to 19 years of imprisonment and compensation of Rs. 7,00,000, on 24 March 2023.
District Court record-keeper, Ram Bahadur Kuwar, informed that the bench of District Judge Basantaraj Poudel provided the verdict and the sentence.
The victim had filed a complaint against the accused on the charge of rape on 8 December 2022, at the police office on 10 December 2022.
The police arrested the accused on 8 December and produced him in court on 11 January 2023.
The health examination of the victim was done on 10 December 2022, at Gulmi Hospital Tamghas.
