Accused of Rape Arrested
Police have arrested Anish Basnet, 19, of Musangkhel in Laliguran’s Municipality-3 on May 21, 2022 on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on May 20 alleging that she was raped on the same day.
Inspector Chhe Finjo Bhote of the District Police Office told INSEC that the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim.
The girl has been examined at the District Hospital on May 24.
